MaranguDay Trip Overview

Marangu day trip allows you to enjoy the traditional chagga house, in which the rural village people live. It also allows you to explore the culture, cuisine, caves and other lively conversations. Mainly it will let you know the culture and tradition of Chagga tribe.

It has few cascades to dip and enjoy the chilling water fall.

The main attraction in Marangu village is the coffee and banana farm, as most of the farmers rely on coffee, banana, beans, yam and other cultivations, as the fertile volcanic soil supports these cultivations.

You can also take a short hike in the lush green landscape through the steep rocks to a sparkling waterfall.

You will be happy to have a home-made coffee with local people and roam around the coffee farms and also visit a local house to learn the preparation of traditional coffee.

You can also visit chagga underground caves. It was built by chaggas to save themselves from the Masai, who migrated to the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro to enslave or kill Chaggas.

Last but not the least; you can wind up your day having a glass of banana wine or banana beer! You can enjoy your day in the Marangu way!
